This is an open letter to you to request that one Ray Sandford be freed from the clutches of the Minnesota mental health system which seems to believe that the introduction of high voltage to the brain is an acceptable treatment in this modern age. This regularly scheduled abomination consisting of forced electroconvulsive "therapy" that Ray receives against his wishes is not something that belongs in a civilized state. Totalitarian regimes have used ECT to control or eliminate enemies of the state; please tell me why it is being used in Minnesota?

     If a citizen desires to have this type of treatment inflicted on himself then let the Free Market service him. Perhaps, Mercy Hospital in Minnesota doesn't have enough willing patients and so must rely on court ordered victims like Ray Sandford to keep them in the clover. Your state budget would no doubt benefit from canceling all funding for this thinly veiled torture that is occurring in your state.

     Please take a stand against this. Thank you for supporting a limited government.
